Thuna Foundation

Our services

Everything we do exists for the family.

Palliative care is care that goes beyond cure — comfort, dignity and companionship for people living with serious illness.

What we offer

Care, wherever it is needed.

Services are planned together with the family — nothing is fixed in advance, everything can change with the person’s needs.

Home-based palliative care

Regular home visits that bring medical care, comfort and familiarity to where life actually happens — planned around the person, not a ward schedule.

Pain & symptom relief

Careful attention to pain, breathlessness and other symptoms, so days can be lived rather than just endured — reviewed and adjusted continuously.

Nursing & medical support

Skilled nursing, wound care and medication support, coordinated closely with the family’s own doctors and hospital team.

Family & emotional support

Counselling, guidance and respite for the family — because the people who care for others also need care themselves.

Volunteer & companion care

Trained volunteers who sit, listen and stand beside — the heart of the Thuna idea, and often the part families remember most.

Awareness & training

Community education and caregiver training — spreading compassionate, competent care further, one family and one volunteer at a time.

How care works

Simple, steady, beside you.

02

First visit

A member of the care team visits your home, understands what is needed, and plans the care together with you.

03

Care that continues

Regular visits and steady support — medical, emotional and practical — adjusted gently as needs change.
